Assurance boundaries and open questions¶
The collection advances an institutional argument and examines implemented systems at identified versions. Its claims remain assessable because their premises and limits are explicit. Open scientific questions are part of the research record.
Continuity, authority and consequence¶
Persistent identity does not guarantee unchanged competence. Model replacement must preserve attributable obligations and evidence while separately qualifying the replacement for its consequential role. Source support for rebinding is distinct from observing a model switch with an outstanding obligation.
A duplicate-resistant request is not a universal unique-effect guarantee. A lost acknowledgement can leave the effect uncertain. Recovery needs a provider observation, a safely repeatable operation, a provider-enforced identity contract, or a separately authorized disposition. The public reference assumes an atomic, payload-bound witness and demonstrates the consequences of that assumption. Arbitrary external services need their own contract.
Processing, fulfillment and acceptance differ. A signed receipt can bind an actor to a statement. It cannot establish that a remote result exists, that the result meets a promised condition, or that a counterparty accepted it unless its evidence and meaning cover those subjects.
Authorization is current and scoped. A legitimate original grant does not authorize every later action. Revocation may stop further effects while leaving the original obligation subject to notice, substitute performance, settlement or recourse.
Resources have direction and ownership. Incoming treasury deposits, allocation of compute, outbound purchases and payouts require separate observations. A funding path does not establish a payment rail.
Formal and construction limits retained in this edition¶
| Work | Established discussion | Continuing qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Institutional thesis | A fixed-mode contraction implication with a complete feasible domain and a uniform factor below one | Realization of the contraction premises, arbitrary switching, sparse dependency completeness and institutional benefit require additional evidence. |
| MIRAGE | A bounded reference language, declared channel model and source-reported process-interruption cases | Whole-system refinement, unrestricted language confinement, power-loss behavior, hostile storage, administration and anti-rollback are separate claims. |
| AD8 | Three identified finite models and scoped encoding/reference results | 215 broader formal claims remain NOT_ESTABLISHED; twelve authored traces remain NOT_EXECUTED. Circular identity dependencies and the 128-/64-bit compatibility boundary remain explicit. |
| CSSL | A specified old/new observation criterion, semantic premises and change responsibilities | Closed identity construction, complete rendering and the relationship between object identity and receipt approval retain their stated obligations. |
| IC/POAR | Intended behavior, rooted authority and scoped finite starter models | A complete implementation/refinement and open-world external-effect guarantees do not follow from those starters. |
| SEPION | Commitment and extraction distinctions under declared evaluation assumptions | Agreement is not correctness; attack-pack coverage and independence need their own executable and methodological evidence. |
| RCFS | Conditional separation of changed methods from current authority | Split/Merge extension proof, open-world fulfillment and model competence are not supplied by bookkeeping alone. |
| Freehold and Cuttlefish | Implemented engine/host relationship and dated operational observations | Long-horizon usefulness, model-switch continuity, every external-effect recovery route, restored operation and independent governance need their own studies. |
| Experience Economy and The Reckoning | Source-defined calibration, attribution and reuse responsibilities; implemented paths inspected separately | Composite incentives, economic value, causal transfer benefit and anti-collapse claims require appropriately scoped evaluation. |
| Semantic OS, CHROMATIC and capability elicitation | Separately versioned semantic, interaction and evaluation arguments | Shared vocabulary and implementation overlap do not establish one integrated machine or general causal immunity. |
The individual papers contain the exact definitions, premises, counterexamples and source guides. The claim register identifies the current basis and scope of material assertions. A paper argument, a recorded source test, an executed public reference and a deployment observation remain different evidence classes.
Governance and independence¶
Confining an ordinary actor does not establish independent custody of the founder, beneficial owner or administrator. Distinct keys or job titles do not establish independent control. Legal personhood, sovereignty, enforceability and recourse depend on the actual external arrangement and jurisdiction; the publication supplies no determination of those matters.
No genuine third-party examiner has independently reproduced or audited the complete collection. Editorial assistance, local checks and separate technical review passes are disclosed in the author statement. Their scope does not become peer-review status.
